How much does Mercari take per sale?
Since January 6, 2025, Mercari charges US sellers a flat 10% selling fee on the item price — and nothing else on the seller side. The buyer protection fee that funds returns and payment processing sits with the buyer, which means the number you see on a listing is 10% smaller at payout, not 13% smaller after three separate charges. Shipping works the same as everywhere: if the buyer pays for it, that money is yours; if you offer free shipping, the cost lands on you.
